چکیده

14C 0 2 Fixation, Amino Acid Pools, Salinity, Marine Diatoms The marine diatoms Bellerochea yucatanensis and Thalassiosira rotula were grown at different salinities (20/25, 35, and 40/45%o salinity (S), respectively) under normal air (0.035 vol.% C 0 2). No significant variations in the percentage of gross photosynthetic products (e.g. total amino acids, sugar phosphates) were found as a function of salinity during growth. The bulk of the soluble 14C-radioactivity was detected in amino acids. 14C-labelling of glutamine increased mark edly with salinity. Low salt — grown algae are characterized by enhanced amino acid pools, mainly of aspartic acid, asparagine and glutamine. It was found that the tested amino acids are not involved in osmoregulation.

اثر شوری و اسیدسالیسیلیک بر صفات ظاهری و تغییرات رنگدانه های فتوسنتزی کالوس کنگرفرنگی (Cynara scolymus L.)

Utilization compounds like salicylic acid is one of the ways to control the salinity and reduce the damage of salinity. Salicylic acid is a phenolic compound plays a role as signaling molecule in plant tolerance system, to protect plants against stresses. The experiment was done to evaluate the effect of salinity (0, 5, 50, 100 and 200 mM) and salicylic acid (0, 100, 200 and 300 μM) on t...

Effects of Response of Ocimum basilicum to the interactive effect of salicylic acid and salinity stress. Maryam Delavari1, Shekoofeh Enteshari1* and Khosrow Manoochehri Kalantari2,3

In this study, the role of salicylic acid pre-treatment (0.01, 0.1 mM was investigated)in inducing salt tolerance in sweet basil. Results showed germination percentage, length of shoot and root, fresh and dry weight of leaf, and photosynthetic pigments were decreased in response to high salinity but the lipid peroxidation, coefficient allometry, and soluble sugars increased. In plants pre-treat...

The Effect of Putrescine and Salicylic Acid on Physiological Characteristics and Antioxidant in Stevia Rebaudiana B. Under Salinity Stress

In order to investigate the effect of putrescin and salicylic acid on some physiological and antioxidant properties of stevia under salinity stress, a factorial experiment was conducted in a completely randomized design with three replications. In this experiment, samples were exposed to different concentrations of putrescine (0, 0.5 and 1 mM), salicylic acid (0 and 0.5 mM) and salinity (0, 75 ...

Effect of salicylic acid on cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Capitata) grown under salinity stress. Sunaina and Narsingh Bahadur Singh*

The effects of salicylic acid (SA) on growth and metabolism of Brassica oleracea var. Capitata under salt stress was studied in a hydroponic culture. NaCl at 50 mM concentration and SA at 0.5, 1.0, and 1.5mM concentrations were used as treatments.  The results showed that salt exhibited inhibitory effects on shoot and root length, fresh and dry weight, and RWC of the seedlings. NaCl at 50 mM co...
